Growing up in Mexico City, Richard Sandoval would join his grandmother in the kitchen and gather around her large table with family to enjoy lively Mexican feasts prepared from scratch. As a chef, he embraces his heritage, yet infuses ideas and methods he learned traveling the world. Even the name “Toro”, is bull in Spanish and tuna belly in Japanese, setting the stage for a Pan-Latin experience.
Toro Toro is the center stage of the renovation of The Worthington hotel in Fort Worth. The design of the new restaurant draws from Pan-Latin architectural influences, while also firmly rooted in Fort Worth’s rich history. Key design elements include a sculpture referencing the daily, local cattle drive and a 17’ tall tequila library.
